United States visit visa
The B1/B2 is the United States visitor visa: B1 for business, B2 for tourism, family visits and medical treatment. It is the one visa on this site that is decided face to face, in a short interview at the US Embassy or Consulate.

How the application goes
Profile check
We go through your situation the way a consular officer would, and tell you honestly how the application looks.
DS-160 form
We complete the online form with you. What you write here is what the officer reads before you speak, so accuracy matters more than anything.
Fee and appointment
We help you pay the visa fee and book the earliest appointment that suits you.
Interview preparation
We practise the interview: why you are going, who pays, what brings you back. Short, true answers that match your form.
Interview day
You attend the interview in person. The officer normally tells you the decision at the window.
How long it takes
Most of the wait is for the interview appointment, and that changes from month to month. We check the current waiting time on the day you start, so you can plan around it.
Good to know
- The interview is short. Clear answers that match your DS-160 count for more than a thick file of papers.
- The visa lets you travel to the United States. The officer at the airport decides how long you may stay, commonly up to 6 months.
- A refusal under section 214(b) is not a ban. You can apply again when your circumstances are stronger.
Questions about the United States visit visa
What do they ask at the US visa interview?
Usually a handful of questions: why you are travelling, who is paying, what you do for a living, who you know in the US, and what brings you back. We practise these with you so that your answers are clear and match your form.
I was refused a US visa before. Can I apply again?
Yes. There is no waiting period, but applying again with the same file usually gets the same answer. We look at what has changed since the refusal and what the officer was unsure about.
